How to Read a Brain Health Supplement Label Like a Pro
Brain health supplements range from genuinely detailed to frustratingly vague. Here's what to check before you buy one.
1. Look for named ingredients, not a vague "proprietary blend"
A trustworthy label names each active ingredient individually. If all you see is a generic "cognitive complex" with no individual ingredients named, you can't research or verify what you're actually taking.
2. Be skeptical of dramatic before-and-after imagery
Illustrated "brain scan" comparisons showing a dramatic before-and-after difference are a common marketing device, not a real individual result. Treat them as illustrative at best, not scientific proof.
3. Check the serving size
Confirm how many tablets or capsules make a full daily serving, and whether the stated ingredient amounts are per-serving or per-container.
4. Confirm the guarantee terms
Look for a specific number of days and a clear description of how to actually request a refund, rather than trusting a vague "satisfaction guaranteed" banner.
